Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. has launched a pre-trained version called Pangu 3.0 that aims to revolutionize industrial applications of AI in weather forecasting, drug development, and fault identification in the train and mining industries. Presented a new system of models.

Huawei’s research on the Pangu Weather AI model was published in Nature, one of the world’s top scientific journals.

This paper describes how to develop an accurate and accurate global AI weather forecast system based on deep learning using 43 years of data. We found that the model is more accurate than the traditional method, with a 10,000-fold improvement in prediction speed.

The model predicted the tracks and landfall times of typhoons, including tropical storm Mawar, which recently formed in May of this year.

In mid-July, the company plans to introduce the first commercial case of the Pangu mining model in Ji’an Province, Shandong Province. Huawei partnered with Shandong Energy Group to implement its model to optimize mining operations and mitigate risks.

The Pangu Mining Model uses large amounts of data for pre-training and enables unsupervised self-learning on over 300 major coal mining scenarios. Apply AI to a variety of coal mining operations such as drilling, tunneling, machinery, transportation, and communications.

For the railway industry, the Pangu model will increase the safety and efficiency of freight trains and reduce on-site labor. The system also identifies transportation system problems such as large coal blocks and anchors with up to 98% accuracy.

Other Huawei technologies have recently been applied to animal and coral conservation efforts.

The company’s Tech4Nature project helped identify jaguar populations on the Yucatan Peninsula. It also helped initiate a new phase in promoting coral reef conservation in Mauritius.
