Huawei launches Xinghe AI full-scope security campus solution, rebuilding campus security perimeter with AI

AI News

[Barcelona, Spain, March 3, 2026] At MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei announced the Xinghe AI full-scope security campus solution at the Intelligent Campus Forum themed “Co-building an AI campus to achieve intelligence for all.” This future-proof solution is designed to reshape the perimeter of campus network security capabilities, enabling full collaboration and multidimensional protection across the digital and physical worlds. Huawei also announced the first commercial release of AirEngine Pre Wi-Fi 8 AP, marking a new milestone in wireless reliability, performance, and mobile experience. This innovation redefines wireless access standards in the AI era and leads the development of industry intelligence.

“In the AI era, campus networks are not only the basis of industrial digitization and intelligence, but also the secure hub that connects the digital and physical worlds,” said Sean Zhao, president of campus network domain, Huawei’s data communications product line.

• Asset security: Industries such as government and finance are increasing the risk of network attacks due to the proliferation of dumb terminals. In response, Huawei’s solution uses clustering identification to automatically recognize dumb terminals with 95% accuracy. By combining device behavior anomaly detection with local reasoning on the switch, this solution can detect device behavior anomalies in seconds and proactively block them to effectively prevent network intrusion.

• Connection security: Huawei’s solution leverages unique Wi-Fi Shield technology to eliminate the risk of data eavesdropping at the physical layer. It also employs end-to-end MACsec and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms to provide long-term security guarantees for data transmission even as quantum computing matures.

• Spatial security: Huawei’s solution leverages intelligent Wi-Fi CSI technology to detect the spatial security status on campus networks through a single wireless access point (AP), thereby detecting unauthorized activities in seconds. This technology protects space security while also maximizing personal privacy.

• Privacy Security: Traditional detection and protection methods for illegal imaging devices are often inefficient and have high error rates. Huawei is addressing this issue by launching iGuard AP. This AP offers three key benefits: comprehensive detection, accurate detection, and 24/7 operation to protect trade secrets and personal privacy in private locations such as executive offices and hotel rooms.

At the same event, Huawei also showcased many innovative campus network products, including:

• First commercial release of AirEngine Pre Wi-Fi 8 AP: With significantly improved network speed and reliability, this AP establishes wireless as the production-grade foundation for AI services. We introduce three core technologies that make a real difference. Specifically, Intelligent Coordinated Scheduling and Spatial Reuse (iCSSR), a multi-AP collaboration technology, doubles network performance under 160/320 MHz deployments while reducing co-channel interference across the network. Smart Beamforming (Smart BF) technology addresses unstable signals in mobile scenarios within milliseconds, performs directional enhancement, and ultimately prevents slowdowns in terminal mobility environments. Advanced Same Frequency Network (ASFN) zero-roaming technology virtualizes multiple APs into a single super AP, enabling seamless roaming across the network without packet loss.

• Initial release of CloudEngine Twin Switch: To prevent single uplink endpoint access failure, Huawei’s Twin Switch (Twin Engine Switch) adopts a multi-switching matrix architecture that enables dual-plane operation within one device. This design ensures sub-second disaster recovery and seamless zero-downtime upgrades, providing customers with a high-performance, reliable network experience with uninterrupted service.

Huawei will continue to innovate, build a high-quality 10 Gbps campus network infrastructure, and remain dedicated to promoting the intelligent development of industry with customers, partners, and industry organizations.
