HPE expands AI-native networking portfolio, integrates Juniper for autonomous operations

hewlett packard enterprise has expanded its AI-native networking portfolio and strengthened its position in AI infrastructure with an integrated technology suite derived from HPE Aruba Networking and recently acquired HPE Juniper Networking. This announcement marks a major milestone in Juniper Networks’ rapid integration, coming just five months after the acquisition closed. The expanded portfolio is designed to provide secure, autonomous, and scalable networking that can support demanding AI workloads.

The latest update introduces unified AIOps capabilities and common hardware to provide a consistent autonomous driving experience across both networking platforms. New features within HPE OpsRamp software and updated switching and routing solutions from HPE Juniper Networking position the network as the foundational layer for AI and cloud performance. These advancements are built on HPE GreenLake Intelligence and compatible agent AI frameworks to help organizations simplify and automate operations across hybrid environments.

As part of our integration efforts, HPE will integrate key features from both Aruba and Juniper into a unified experience. HPE Juniper Networking’s Large Experience Model will now be accessible within HPE Aruba Networking Central, and Aruba’s Agentic Mesh technology will be available to Mist users. Additional updates include cross-platform organizational insights, new WiFi-7 access points, and on-premises enhancements with Aruba Networking Central On-Premises 3.0, which provides enhanced automation, analytics, and user interface upgrades.

HPE also expanded its AI infrastructure hardware portfolio with new switching and routing solutions tailored for high-performance AI workloads. HPE Juniper Networking QFX5250 switches with Broadcom Tomahawk 6 silicon deliver 102.4 Tbps of bandwidth, enabling high-speed GPU-to-GPU connectivity in data centers. The MX301, a new multi-service edge router, brings high-speed AI inference capabilities closer to where data is generated to support performance-focused edge environments.

Ahead of HPE Discover Barcelona 2025, the company also deepened its collaboration with NVIDIA and AMD. This includes an enhanced AI Factory networking solution that enhances connectivity from edge environments to large-scale AI clusters, as well as support for AMD’s new Helios rack-scale AI architecture. Helios introduces the industry’s first scale-up Ethernet networking combined with HPE Juniper Networking switches designed to support multi-trillion parameter training workloads.

HPE further advances its hybrid cloud and AIOps strategy with updates to HPE OpsRamp software and tighter integration with GreenLake. These enhancements unify telemetry from compute, storage, and networking systems to provide IT teams with a unified command center for managing hybrid environments. New features include data center observability with Apstra integration, automated root cause analysis, and support for model context protocols to connect AI agents across different platforms.

To support customer adoption, HPE Financial Services has introduced zero percent financing options for networking AIOps software and a new leasing program that provides cost savings for organizations upgrading to AI-native networking. These options are intended to reduce barriers for businesses to invest in modern AI-enabled infrastructure.

Product offerings will roll out over the coming months, with QFX5250 switches scheduled for release in early 2026, MX301 routers in December 2025, and various OpsRamp and GreenLake integrations to be completed by late 2025 to mid-2026.
