The Poco F6 is the country's first smartphone to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, one of the few chips with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that can deliver generative AI experiences on-device. With generative AI taking the smartphone world by storm, the Poco F6 also comes with quite a few AI features. However, unlike the Samsung Galaxy, these features are not easily accessible; you need to unlock them before you can use them.
Like the flagship Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the Poco F6 (Review) offers features like AI Image Enhancement and AI Eraser Pro. These features were mostly limited to high-end smartphones until recently, but they are now making their way to more affordable smartphones such as the Poco F6, which runs on Android 14-based HyperOS.
How to enable AI-powered photo editing feature on Poco F6?

To enable Generative AI-powered photo editing features like AI Image Enhancement and AI Eraser Pro, users need to download the AI Editor plugin, which is around 800MB in size, after which users can access the Generative AI features on the Poco F6 directly from the image editing tools available in the Gallery app.
Your phone will need to have an internet connection to use these features for the first time. Once installed, you can use it to edit photos even when your device is not connected to the internet. However, to use the Pro editing features, your device will need to have an internet connection.
Unlike the generative, AI-powered photo editing tools we've used on smartphones recently, the tools available on the Poco F6 are far more flexible – you can remove objects, shadows, people, and even lines in your photos to make them look more beautiful.

Similarly, you can also use generative AI to enhance your images, though this feature requires an active internet connection and, depending on the image, it may take a few seconds to complete the task.
There are other features like AI Bokeh as well, and the company also confirmed the addition of new AI Gesture Control gestures that will allow users to control the smartphone without touching the screen, especially during tasks like streaming movies and watching videos.
Currently, the AI features on the Poco F6 are limited to photo editing, and in the coming days, the company is likely to introduce productivity-focused AI features similar to those present on its high-end smartphones.
