“At VivaTech, we are showing how science, data, employees and partners can come together to not only reinvent the way we work today, but also prepare for the future and impact patients around the world.”
Promoting next-generation research and development
Traditional research and development can span over 10 years. To address industry bottlenecks, Sanofi is embedding AI across its R&D value chain to enable data-driven choices.
The eStudy platform transforms trial design by using multimodal data to simulate trials, predict cycle times, optimize patient burden, and identify cost drivers for efficient protocols.
Additionally, FUSION, a model-based drug development platform, enables in silico testing using disease biology models and clinical data to predict safety, efficacy, and outcomes in critical go/no-go decisions. Once clinical data is available, ClinShow uses AI-enhanced review to efficiently validate findings.
To ensure breakthrough science reaches patients, our manufacturing and supply teams are integrating expert AI and agents into their daily operations. In manufacturing, BEAM streamlines the transition of new drugs and indications from research and development to industrial scale, enabling unprecedented speed to market, while Plasma enhances equipment reliability, continuity, and production quality.
“The next decade of healthcare will be shaped by companies that can connect science, data and execution at scale,” said Brendan O’Callaghan, head of manufacturing and supply at Sanofi.
“At Sanofi, we are embedding artificial intelligence across our service offerings. Every innovation, improvement, and increased efficiency means we can administer more doses to patients waiting for our life-changing treatments.”
