The month of action focuses on innovations in management and the powerful application of technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), to prevent workplace accidents and diseases at their earliest stages through a proactive and preventive approach.
According to the plan released by the Ho Chi Minh City Department, this year’s theme is “Innovating management and improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and health in the digital age,” which emphasizes the role of science and technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), in preventing and reducing occupational accidents and diseases and improving labor productivity.
Occupational Safety and Health Action Month 2026 aims to create a peak period of communication activity and promote concrete action programs on the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases across all levels, sectors, regions and companies. The city is prioritizing the application of digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) in communication, training, monitoring and evaluation activities to improve the effectiveness of occupational safety management.
Within the framework of the Month of Action, various activities will be carried out, such as intensifying communication campaigns and teaching safe work skills to employees. Conferences and thematic seminars will also be held to identify risks, share practical experiences and address implementation challenges.
In addition, in high-risk fields and industries such as construction, mechanical engineering, chemistry, electricity, and pressure equipment, inspection and supervision activities will be strengthened to promptly detect and deal with violations and prevent risks.
Additionally, the city plans to hold training programs and legal consultation sessions on occupational safety and health for businesses and workers. At the same time, we encourage enterprises to visit, provide support and provide assistance to workers affected by industrial accidents and occupational diseases.
