Real Life's dating app Happn has brought a new AI-backed feature that allows users to find the location of a date, which happened to be named the full date. The company says that using AI and a large language model (which you don't specify what language) will help users move from chat to meeting in real life on the app. By suggesting full date locations based on users, favorite locations, passions and geographic locations.
According to data shared by Happn, 69% of singles find it difficult to find the right place for the date, but 35% describe the process as extremely stressful, while 33% find it somewhat.
With the new Perfect Dating feature, Happn says users can define geographical areas and receive up to five personalized suggestions for dates based on mutual interests such as culture, food, nightlife and other local outings.
The company notes that AI is identifying contextual compatibility after the crash to provide venue selection tailored to the interests of both users.
Happn notes that this new feature doesn't predict “the best universal spots” and instead creates unique suggestions that AI will reach by looking at the geographical zone and seeing the various factors that will help them understand the person's atmosphere.
Karima Ben Abdelmalek, CEO and President of Happn, said in the release: “The perfect first date spot can make all the difference. Today's singles long for a space that balances comfort, atmosphere and authenticity. It's intuitive and a true reflection of the user.”
The company also notes that its new AI features are only activated within the “correct context” and that when prompted by a user, they appear to be in control at all times.
