Government launches free AI courses with certificates: Check registration instructions

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under Mission IndiaAI is offering a free online Artificial Intelligence (AI) course called YUVA AI. This course is available on government-supported platforms such as FutureSkills Prime and iGOT Karmayogi.

The aim is to help people learn the basics of AI as it becomes more commonplace in education, the workplace, and daily life. The government plans to provide basic knowledge of AI to 1 billion people through this program.

This course is completely free and takes approximately 4.5 hours to complete. This course covers what AI is, how it works, where it is used, how to use it safely, real-world examples from India, ethical issues related to AI, and career opportunities in this field. The lessons are explained in plain language, so even beginners can easily understand them.

Anyone who can read and write can participate. Anyone interested in learning about AI can participate, including schools, university students, working adults, teachers, business owners, and housewives. No prior knowledge of AI is required.

Why is it important?

This course will help you as AI is becoming an important skill in many industries such as banking, healthcare, education, media, manufacturing, and information technology. Learning the basics helps students prepare for future studies and careers, and allows professionals to improve their skills and stay up to date with changing workplace requirements.

After completing all lessons and assessments, learners receive an official certificate from the Government of India. You can add your certificate to your resume or professional profile to showcase your fundamental knowledge of AI.
