Google We have introduced a new feature to achieve this Gemini Eye This allows users to convert still photos into short video clips with AI-generated audio. The new Photo-to-Video tool is powered by Google's VEO 3 video model, allowing you to turn your reference image into an 8-second video with additional background sounds, environmental effects, and even speech.
The update is now available for Google AI Ultra and Pro Subscribers “Select Regions,” according to the company. It will start to unfold on the web today and reach mobile devices later this week.
To use the tool, the Gemini user clicks Tools on the prompt bar, selects Video, and uploads a photo with instructions for the animation you want. It can also include details about Dialogue, Ambient Noise, and Sound Effects. Google says it is “fully synchronized with the visual.” The completed video will be delivered as an MP4 file in 720p resolution and 16:9 landscape format.
“You can become creative by animating everyday objects, bringing drawings and paintings to life, and giving natural scenes movement,” says Google. “All videos generated contain visible watermarks that indicate that AI is being generated and invisible SynthID digital watermarks.”
A similar feature already exists. Google's generative AI filmmaking tool was launched in March. But now, Gemini users can animate photos directly within Gemini without having to switch apps. Google also announced that Flow is expanding to “an additional 75 countries” along with the launch of the new Gemini video feature.
