Google has launched a new experimental app called DoPpl. This allows people to practically try out their clothes using full body photos and see how those clothes look and move in short video clips.

It is now available to US users on both iOS and Android. This app is designed to simulate the experience of trying out costumes without having to physically wear them.

Users can upload their own photos and combine them with screenshots and images of their favorite clothing items. Whether it's a product you see on Instagram, a branded website, or animated images from the Internet, DOPPL uses the generated AI to map and animate clothes to the user's body.

Unlike many virtual tryon tools that generate static images, DOPPL creates videos showing moving clothes. This animation preview helps users visualize how the fabric flows and fits into their body in real life. Google says this level of realism will help shoppers make decisions more confident, especially when browsing fashion items online.

The idea is impressive, but the app is still in its early stages and has some limitations. In some cases, AI suffers from accuracy, such as misplacement of pants over shorts or rendering unrealistic percentages. Sometimes the socks are completely removed and replaced by AI-generated feet. Despite these glitches, early testers praise the app's potential.

To address concerns about misuse, DOPPL includes built-in restrictions. The app blocks attempts to upload suggestive or inappropriate clothing and prevents users from generating tryions for public figures.

DOPPL continues work that Google launched with the AI ​​Tryon feature announced earlier this year at Google IO. This tool was able to view clothing on different body types through Google search. DOPPL extends its concept by making it personal and mobile, and everyone becomes a model.

Although Google has not yet confirmed its deployment plans outside the US, it may increase availability based on user feedback and technical improvements.
