Today, Google has added generative artificial intelligence (AI) with Google Vids, and can turn stills into short videos with just a few clicks using VEO 3.
Google Vids, an AI-powered video app, was launched last year as part of Google Workspace. Since then, it has regularly added new features and features, and has promised that each addition will make it easier for users to create videos, regardless of experience level.
“As we continue to make video creation easier and more powerful for everyone, the responses from VIDS users have been overwhelmingly positive. We recently introduced the ability to generate 8-second video clips with VEO 3.
The new ability to turn still images into video clips promises to make creating high-quality video content even faster, and is based on a similar feature introduced in Gemini last month. Because Google Vids is part of Google Workspace and therefore targets small and large businesses, Google has an immediate understanding of how new image-to-video features can help brands. You can turn static product photos into movement-based assets for marketing, or add dynamism to your company's stock photos. The text prompt determines how the image is animated, so the user retains considerable control over the final output.
Google Vids introduces today's new AI-powered features, such as AI avatars and automatic transcript trimming. AI avatars are first teased with I/O at the beginning of this summer, allowing VIDS users to create scripts and select AVATAR to provide company messages. Auto-transcript trimming helps users record better take with fewer tries to use AI to remove nasty pauses and filler words without nasty manual editing.
Google is also making fun of some new features that will soon be coming to VIDS, such as noise cancellation and new sizing formats (portrait, landscape, square).
Also, more people can access VID from today. The new VIDS feature is available for workspaces for business or enterprise starter customers, Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, and educational customers. Additionally, the Basic VIDS editor without Google Gemini is now available to all Google users at no additional cost. This includes templates, tips and tricks, tutorials and more.
As for the tutorial, Google's new “Vids on Vids” instruction series is now available. It details many of the features available in Vids and what users can do with the AI video editor.
