Google announced Updates to Flow, an artificial intelligence-powered image and video platformThis allows you to easily create complex configurations and enhance content within your app.
First, Google will roll out an updated UI for the app that features simplified proactive controls to make it easier to generate visuals and provide more flexible asset management.
Google is also adding more natural and intuitive editing tools, including a simple lasso tool that lets you precisely select areas of an image and ask Flow to make tweaks using conversational prompts.
Users can also generate high-resolution images and use them as elements within Veo video generation, all within the Flow system. Additionally, users will be able to generate videos from photos using text commands.
Google said it’s also looking at making it easier to create “across different modalities” and utilize different tools throughout image and video editing.
According to Google, “To streamline your workflow, we’ve moved the best features from our image generation experiments, Whisk and ImageFX, directly into Flow, so you can now generate, edit, and animate everything in one unified workspace.”
To ease the transition to the updated Flow system, Google said that starting in March, users will be able to transfer all Whisk and ImageFX projects and assets directly to Flow. This means that all existing assets are immediately available within the app.
google First flow announced in May 2025features AI content tools designed to incorporate Google’s various visual generation systems all into one interface. The company is now moving closer to that vision by incorporating more production elements into the app and consolidating different tools into a single management stream.
This provides new options for generating great-looking visuals using Google’s latest AI innovations, and could be a powerful and valuable consideration for marketers.
