- Google just launched the Photo to Video feature in VEO 3
- Now you can ask Gemini to convert photos to 8 second video
- With Google AI Pro and AI Ultra Subscribers available, the feature will begin rolling out today
Google has just added a new and powerful tool to the Gemini Veo 3 image generation feature, allowing users to turn still photos into videos.
Now you can convert static photos directly into dynamic videos from within the Gemini app on the web, for use by Google AI Ultra and Pro Subscribers. Google says the feature will be rolled out to iOS and Android throughout the rest of the week.
Google can get VEO 3 for free for three months for free on Google Cloud Trials, but hasn't seen when Google 3 will be available to free users.
The new Photo-to-Video feature also allows you to create 8-second 720p video clips and add audio to make your video even more realistic.
Google's VEO 3 is the best video generation tool on the market, and sometimes outperforms Openai's Sora at the time of writing. Now, this additional feature allows users to turn photo memory into video makes the VEO 3 better than ever.
How to bring your photos back to life with Veo3
You can see some examples of new features in Veo 3 above. It's very easy to try. Just follow these steps.
- Click on the tool in the Gemini prompt bar
- Select a video
- Upload a photo
- Explain motion and audio (including dialogue, sound effects, and ambient noise)
This new feature is very easy to use and the results are pretty impressive. The power of Gemini and Veo 3 is phenomenal given that less than a year later, they were unable to even use AI to generate videos.
This is welcomed into the world of AI video generation with the ability to sync audio in VEO 3 to move images and create photo videos from the prompt.
