Google makes it easy to import conversations into Gemini

AI Video & Visuals

Google is preparing several new additions for Gemini that aim to expand functionality for both current and transitioning users. The “Import AI Chat” feature, labeled as beta, is set to appear in the attachment menu. This option is designed to allow users to upload conversations exported from other AI platforms, allowing for continued use and context preservation within Gemini. For users switching from competing solutions, this approach has the potential to address a major pain point: loss of accumulated conversation history. Data privacy is an important consideration, as all imported and continued chats are stored in the user’s activity, and that data also contributes to further training of Google models.

Another upcoming addition appears in settings as “Similarity”, which is now connected to the “Video Verification” page. Although details are unclear, this could signal the launch of tools related to video content authentication or analysis, perhaps to address concerns about AI-generated media. During the early stages of development, the final objective may change before publication.

Image generation in Gemini has also been upgraded, with the interface now set to offer downloads at higher resolutions, specifically 2K and 4K, with the highest quality said to be “perfect for printing.” This opens possibilities for users interested in using AI-generated visuals in physical form, similar to the services already available in Google Photos. Although direct printing integration is not confirmed, these resolution options make it much easier to export content for personal or commercial use.

These features reflect Google’s continued strategy to position Gemini as a comprehensive AI assistant to support migration, content management, and creative output for both new and existing users.
