At the Media Music Marketing Summit, Google Digital Coach's Vicente Pimienta combined with practical masterclasses on artificial intelligence (AI) with personal testimony of faith to encourage participants to view technology as a tool, but to view perseverance as the true key to success.
Pimienta gave his speech, discussing how he worked at Google. After running his own internet company for 20 years, he said he realized he was on debt and insolvency. “And I cried and wept on my bike. In a moment of despair, he prayed. “I said to God, 'Why are you doing this to me? I've had my company for 20 years, and it will end like this.”
A few minutes later, Pimienta said he received a call from a friend of the organization who told him the company was looking for him. The company turns out to be Google. “Can you believe I am the only person they have interviewed?” he said he described the event as a sacred intervention in his life.
He told the audience that the experience confirmed the principles he once read in books. He told participants, “If you want to give up, you're happy! You're trying to make it.”
From there, Pimienta moved to AI, often encountering fear and confusion, aiming to subtle the concept. “It's not a robot, not a machine, not a single thing. It's software that performs tasks that are usually related to what humans do,” he said.
He emphasized that AI is the present, not the future, and warned experts that their competition is not the technology itself, but “another expert who is already using it.”
Pimienta outlined categories of AI, including machine learning, which learns from user patterns. Rule-based language model. and a larger language model that is more flexible and trained with billions of documents. He also discussed generator AIs such as Google's Gemini, which creates new content ranging from text and chords to images and music.
He pointed out how Google is already integrating AI into its tools to support small businesses. Features include generating optimized descriptions for Google Business Profiles and creating digital menus for restaurants from one photo in about 30 seconds.
Emphasizing Gemini, Pimienta described it as “a multi-scale ecosystem of language models, language models, and machine learning. It is a city that drives all information on the planet.” He said the system is supporting improvements in YouTube, Gmail, Google Drive and Google search.
Pimienta also provided five steps for an effective “prompt” when using AI tools. Assign the task specificity, AI roles (such as “action as a social media manager”), provide context, provide references, evaluate and refine results.
He closes down with a call to use technology responsibly, comparing AI to useful knives in the kitchen, but is dangerous if misused. “You are responsible for using it responsibly. Please do not misinformate it before publishing it or using it. Do not harm anyone. “Does use it like this hurt someone?”
The Pimienta presentation left two messages to participants. Faith and perseverance are essential to overcome professional challenges, and AI, when used wisely, is a powerful ally of growth and innovation.
