Google has announced a major update to the Play Store that includes artificial intelligence (AI) features. The new features will help Android users search and compare apps more efficiently. The AI will analyze app reviews and highlight key points to help users compare apps in similar categories. This will help users quickly find related programs and rate them based on other users' reviews.
Additionally, Google is introducing curated spaces called “Collections” where users can discover apps based on their interests. These collections are created based on the user's preferences and provide personalized content.
Play personalization allows users to customize their access to these apps, meaning Android users have control over the data that is collected and used to personalize content and recommendations.
In the gaming arena, Google is also adding the ability to search for new games by selecting multiple filter interests. Google Play Games users on PC will now be able to play multiple games simultaneously in different windows, similar to the split-screen feature on smartphones. This innovation will improve the gaming experience and provide more flexibility to gamers.
The Play Points rewards program will also be updated, specifically introducing weekly super prizes for Gold, Platinum and Diamond members. These participants will be eligible to win Pixel devices, Razer products and other hardware. The updates to the Play Points program will make it more attractive and encourage active user participation.
