According to a World Economic Forum report, generative AI presents opportunities for the creative industries, but also risks. Nearly a quarter (23%) of all jobs worldwide could be changed by AI in the next five years, according to the report.
At the 2023 WEF Growth Summit, the impact of generative AI was a major focus. A Goldman Sachs report says generative AI has the potential to automate 26% of work tasks in the arts, design, entertainment and media sectors.
Other areas that could be automated by AI include:
- legal
- architecture and engineering,
- business and financial affairs,
- janitor
- Sales and related
Furthermore, the WEF report suggests that generative AI undoubtedly presents a wide range of opportunities, but it also poses risks that must be carefully managed.
One concern is that the information and data used in generative AI tool prompts are stored on AI companies’ servers, and that similar information provided in response to future prompts could create threats to sensitive data. There is Generative AI-related roles are currently in demand in India, demonstrating how skilled professionals are interested in working in this space.
With the trend of demand for AI jobs growing, many tech industries are willing to hire people with experience in this field.
