Gemini screen automation for Android apps has free AI Pro usage limitations

Google has started rolling out Gemini screen automation on the Galaxy S26, but the feature, like other Gemini app features, has usage limitations.

If you have a free account, 5 requests per day. The feature works by running apps in a virtual window on your phone, but cloud processing is responsible for telling your device where to scroll, tap, and type.

Google AI Plus ($7.99) members enjoy the following benefits: 12 requests/day 20 Requests per day for AI Pro ($19.99). Sign up for Google AI Ultra ($249.99) to increase your limits. 120 requests per day.

Screen automation leverages a live web browser instance in the cloud, unlike the Gemini Agent feature, which is still only available to AI Ultra subscribers. Members receive 200 requests per day.

Gemini screen automation currently supports Lyft, Uber, GrubHub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Starbucks. An example command is:


Book a ride:

  • Book a ride to the airport
  • plan tomorrow’s ride

order food:

  • reorder the last coffee
  • order pizza delivery

ordering groceries:

  • Add milk and eggs to shopping cart
  • order groceries from my mother’s house

The Galaxy S26 series is available in the US or South Korea. Support for Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL is not yet available and will be available in the US.
