The Galaxy S24 series now comes with Galaxy AI, a suite of AI-powered features that are extremely useful for everyday use. One of the key features of Galaxy AI is Google's Circle to Search (CtS), which lets you search for anything on your screen by simply drawing a circle around it. Google is currently working on further improving Circle to Search by adding the ability to identify songs and popular audio clips.

According to a post from @AssembleDebug on X/Twitter, the latest beta version of the Google app (the app that provides Circle to Search on Samsung phones and tablets) has added a new button with an audio tune design next to the button that translates on-screen text (see screenshot below). The button isn't visible by default, so a researcher in the app had to enable it manually.

What does it do?

Currently, the button isn't functional and there's no official information about its functionality, but judging by the design of the audio tune, it looks like when you click it, Circle to Search will use your phone's microphone to listen to what's going on around you and show you information about songs and popular audio clips if it finds them. It might even hum a tune to tell you what song you're looking for.

This new feature will make it easier for Samsung phone/tablet users to identify songs and find information about popular audio clips. We hope to learn more about this feature in the next Google app beta, which will enable the button functionality. Until then, watch the video above to see five productivity features that Samsung phones have but Apple phones don't.
