Princess Catalina Amalia of the Dutch has recently been victim of a deepfake porn attack. The 21-year-old face transformed into a porn actor's body using AI, and the resulting video was distributed on platforms like Mrdeepfakes.
According to a report from the Daily Beast, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) worked with Dutch authorities to remove the website. These websites, including Mrdeepfakes, also distributed deep-fark porn videos of about 70 other Dutch women. However, no arrests have been made in this case so far.
Dutch news website Seher Og Hor also reported that Catharina-Amalia had a “starring role” in Deepfake. This is not the first time that the future Queen of the Netherlands has been victimized by such an attack. Her morphed video also went on sale in 2022.
Who is Princess Catalina Amalia?
Born in The Hague on December 7th, 2003, Catalina Amalia Beatrix Calmen Victoria is the eldest daughter of King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima, and the future Queen of the Netherlands. She served as the Orange Princess title, revealed to her heirs since her father joined in April 2013.
Ironically, her bachelor's thesis dealt with deepfake issues. Katarina Amalia studied politics, psychology, law and economics (PPLE) at the University of Amsterdam. Her program began in 2022. For her final paper, “Beyond disclosure: filling the gap between artificial intelligence law and the charter of fundamental rights with deep organizations,” the Dutch princess examined the tensions between AI law and fundamental rights in Europe.
