Custom AI allows you to showcase any number of fully custom agents and agent teams into production using the same AI agent studio tools that Oracle uses to configure and extend AI agents. Customers can choose the best performance model hosted by other cloud providers for their AI agents, without restrictions or keys. Customers can also deploy specialized multimodal models that can process images, audio and video.
Custom AI includes OpenAI's GPT-4 model to power AI agents. Like other GPT products offered by other companies, Oracle's GPT-4 models are hosted in Azure. In the spirit of Oracle's Multicloud strategy, other high-performance models hosted in other clouds will be introduced over time into the power of Oracle AI agents.
Similar to the built-in AI features enabled within AI Agent Studio, Oracle's custom AI allows users to create agents using natural language. No coding experience is required.
Custom AI is delivered as separate pricing within Oracle Fusion. Like other Fusion application products, Custom AI uses predictable seat-based and employee-based pricing, following the pricing approach of core fusion applications.
Choosing Embedded and Custom AI
Most Fusion application customers are expected to continue to make the most of the embedded AI capabilities included in their subscriptions, and Oracle will continue to offer new embedded generation AI and embedded AI agents in PACE. Some AI agent use cases require custom AI due to the complexity of the use case or other specialized requirements that Oracle built agents do not address.
With embedded AI, you do everything you do to maintain the AI agent that Oracle has built, all centered around fusion applications. Oracle curates and periodically updates the model and agent configuration for high quality results over time. Custom AI allows teams who can maintain their own AI agents over time to deploy these specialized AI agents into production to achieve endless scale, reach and automation results.
Embedded AI agents will continue to be scalable using embedded Oracle AI Agent Studio, which can connect to third-party systems, ingest customer-specific versions of documents, customize embedded prompts, and edit agent descriptions. Custom AI agents start from scratch without relying on agent templates created by Oracle. Both embedded and custom agents can be tested, deployed, and managed through AI Agent Studio.
