Tokyo, October 3 (Jiji Press) – On Friday, Japan's Fujitsu Ltd. announced it has expanded its strategic collaboration with US chip giant Nvidia Corp. to promote the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, finance and other fields.

By integrating Fujitsu's Central Processing Unit Series and Nvidia's high-performance graphics processing units, companies aim to jointly develop AI agents that can autonomously execute tasks and next-generation computing platforms for efficient and fast processing.

Fujitsu and Nvidia have already agreed to develop a new supercomputer Fugakunext as the successor to the existing Fugaku supercomputer.

The company is also looking to collaborate with Yaskawa Electric Corp., an industrial robot manufacturer on autonomous robots.

“For AI to be fully implemented in businesses and society, we need an AI infrastructure with sufficient processing power and functionality,” said Fujii CEO Takahito Tokita.
