Charity Excellence has partnered with Microsoft to launch a series of free artificial intelligence training courses for charities.
The platform announced its AI online learning program late last week, after spending years tracking AI adoption across the charity sector.
Charity Excellence launched its first AI system in 2022, began offering practical AI training in 2023, and is currently leveraging its experience to develop an AI online learning program.
The initiative aims to give those working in the charity sector the skills and confidence to use AI effectively and safely, and is free and open to everyone, with no prior technical knowledge required.
Topics range from understanding the basics of AI and protecting against risks such as fraud and misinformation, to specialized modules on using AI for fundraising.
Ian McClintock, founder of Charity Excellence, said: “We want to make it possible for nonprofits of all sizes to benefit from AI while protecting themselves and their beneficiaries from harm. We also want to give everyone the opportunity to develop the AI skills they need for their future careers.”
