Hyderabad: Meta and Oakley have been working together to launch Oakley Meta HSTN Performance AI glasses, which are specially made for fitness activities. Combining performance, design and AI features to suit sports enthusiasts and athletes, these smart glasses offer 3K video recording, open ear speakers and up to 8 hours of battery life. With support from Meta AI, these glasses can respond to user queries via voice commands.
Meta Oakley Performance AI Glasses: Price, Availability
The limited edition Oakley Meta HTSN costs $499 (approximately Rs 43,000). Pre-orders will be available from July 11th, 2025. The remaining smartglass collection will be introduced later this year, with prices starting at $399 (around Rs 34,000).
The new smart glasses will be sold in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Australia. Additionally, Meta plans to make smart glasses available in Mexico, the United Arab Emirates and India by the end of the year.
Meta Oakley Performance AI Glasses: Specifications
The Oakley Meta HSTN SmartGlasses features a 12MP camera that supports video recording up to 3K resolution. It comes with an open ear speaker built into the frame, allowing wearers to enjoy music, podcasts or call contacts without the need for headphones.
These glasses come with built-in meta AI that provides real-time assistance during a variety of activities, such as posting videos on social media and checking weather conditions. It has an IPX4 rating for water resistance, indicating that HSTN glasses can withstand rain, sweat, or splash during outdoor sports.
The new smart glasses offer up to 8 hours of use on a single charge, but can fill up half of the battery with a 20-minute charge. It comes with a charging case and is claimed to provide 48 hours of battery life.
Meta recently released Ray-Ban Meta Meta in India. This was created in collaboration with Essilorluxottica. The Ray-Ban Metagrass features a 12MP camera that records 1080p video. It is a charging case with open ear speakers, five microphones and a 36-hour battery life. SmartGlasses comes with built-in meta AI to respond to wearer queries.
