Fika Jobs raises $4 million to replace resumes with AI-powered video interviews
Stockholm-based Fika Jobs has raised $4 million in pre-seed funding to build a video-first recruiting platform that uses an AI interviewing agent to assess candidates before they apply for specific roles. This provides employers with a searchable pool of pre-qualified talent rather than a pile of unsolicited applications.
The platform, currently powered by Google’s Gemini model, works by connecting to a candidate’s LinkedIn profile, generating personalized interview questions, and conducting an AI-driven video interview that lasts approximately 10 minutes. Your responses are automatically compiled into short clips and compiled into a live profile that employers can view and revisit when new positions become available. This model is designed to reveal personality, communication style, and cultural fit at a stage where resumes are typically valued.

The company was founded by brothers Jacob Dubois (CEO) and Alexander Dubois (CTO). He developed the concept after a previous business nearly overlooked a strong candidate because their resume didn’t reflect their abilities. The company’s platform is free for job seekers, and employers collect a referral fee of 10% of a successful hire’s first year’s salary, which is lower than the 20% to 30% typically charged by traditional recruiters.
The round was led by Luminar Ventures with participation from Alliance VC and King co-founders Sebastian Knutsson and Riccardo Zacconi. More than 100 companies are on the waiting list, and early testers include Plenty Labs, SICS.ai, Kognity, Rebtel, and more. A wider public rollout is planned for this fall, with an initial focus on Sweden before an international rollout.
