Porto Business School will be integrated into the QS Responsible AI Consortium. The QS Responsible AI Consortium is a global initiative led by Quacquarelli Symonds that brings together some of the world’s most advanced institutions to shape the future of artificial intelligence with responsibility, ethics, and human impact at its core.

By joining this consortium, Porto Business School strengthens its position as a European hub for innovation-driven and responsible leadership, joining schools such as IE Business School, Imperial Business School, London Business School, Corvinus University of Budapest and Lewis Business School.

Founded to foster collaboration between academia and industry, the QS Responsible AI Consortium enables educational institutions to co-develop frameworks, share best practices, and advance the ethical adoption of AI across the education and business ecosystems.

Its mission is to ensure that AI technologies are developed and deployed in a manner that is transparent, inclusive and consistent with societal values.

For Porto Business School, one of Portugal’s leading business schools, this milestone reflects a long-term commitment to embed AI into academic, research and organizational strategies as a technological driver and as a catalyst for responsible change. The school aims to prepare leaders who can meet the challenges of a global, digital and sustainable world.

“To lead in the future, you must actively design it. As an AI-first business school, Porto Business School is committed to an AI-by-design approach that integrates technology, ethics, and leadership. Through the Responsible AI Consortium, we are reinforcing our belief that meaningful innovation only occurs when bold ambitions are accompanied by ethical responsibility and clear human purpose.” José Estevez, dean of Porto Business School, affirms this.

This collaboration will enable the school to contribute to and benefit from a global ecosystem focused on redefining the way AI is taught, managed, and applied. It will also strengthen the school’s ability to prepare leaders with the skills and mindset needed to navigate a complex technological landscape while making decisions for sustainable and inclusive impact. Additionally, there will be opportunities for students, faculty, and partners to engage with international perspectives and new best practices.

As AI continues to reshape the future of industry, society and work, Porto Business School is not only at the forefront of innovation, but also positioning itself at the center of a global movement that ensures technology serves people and not the other way around. Through this step, the school will further strengthen its role as a forward-thinking educational institution committed to combining progress, responsibility and human-centered leadership.
