The conflict between Iran, Israel, and the United States continues today. The countries involved are under continuous attack. According to media reports, Iran attacked US military bases in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar. Meanwhile, a video is being shared on social media claiming that Iran attacked the world-famous Burj Khalifa with a missile, after which the building caught fire.
While sharing the video, the user wrote, “News comes from Dubai that Iranian missiles hit Burj Khalifa.” The UAE government says its forces have thwarted most attacks, but there are still casualties from falling debris. #Iran #Asteria #burjkhalifa #America‘
The same video is being spread by various users with such claims. See here and here.
fact check
After verification, the DFRAC team found that the attack on Burj Khalifa was a false claim and that the viral video was generated by AI. Our team first investigated the video. I reviewed these videos with the AI-Detector Tool Hive Moderation. Our research shows that the video of the Burj Khalifa fire was generated by AI.

Several keywords were also searched on Google to obtain further evidence. I received the Economic Times’ report on the Dubai attack. Officials reportedly confirmed there was no attack on Burj Khalifa.

Our team contacted Maas Ahmad and Naushad Ansari, residents of Dubai, for further confirmation. Both parties admitted that the viral video was fake. They said they had not observed an attack on the Burj Khalifa or any such incident of fire spreading throughout the building, nor had they received any such information.
conclusion
DFRAC’s fact checks make it clear that the video of the missile attack on Burj Khalifa and the massive fire outbreak on social media is fake. There is no official confirmation of such a strike. Therefore, the user’s claim is false.
