Applications of AI

Trichy: The Maiden edition of Delmin Expo 2025, which began on Friday, introduces new technologies that simplify robots, artificial intelligence (AI) applications, and manufacturing processes. The three-day exposition, hosted by the Trichy District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association (Tiditssia) in Karaiarangham Hall near the central bus stand, aims to help MSMEs and manufacturers in the Cauvery Delta area deal with the shortage of workers in the area. “The main purpose of this event is to expose entrepreneurs and MSMEs to a wide range of emerging technologies and new age solutions to facilitate the production process. The government schemes that allow MSMES and potential domains to be available have been shown on roughly 90 stalls to diversify business with incentives,” Muhil P Rajappa, president of Tiditsia, told TOI. Manufacturers showcase locally assembled electric scooters, recent trends in laser cutting, plastics and textile production techniques. NIT Trichy's Center for Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation (CEDI) has established a stall to discuss innovative ideas for students to promote entrepreneurship. “Investment in Nagapattinam”, another stall created by Nagapattinam's District Industrial Centre (DIC) aims to attract investment in the newly announced Sipcot Industrial Park near Vedaranyam. A port has also been proposed near Wilundamavadi, near Belankani in the district.Tiditsia said that if appropriate access is provided to Panjapur's 10 acres of land, the exhibition will be held annually if the state government is assigned to hold an industrial exhibition for MSMES.
