SAP and Siemens are looking for new AI methods
Siemens CEO Roland Bush and SAP CEO Christian Klein were absent and felt the criticism had not progressed well. In an interview with Frankfurter Argemine Zeitung (FAZ), they called for a fundamental revision of EU AI Law and a new framework that promotes innovation rather than hinder it. For Busch, the AI law is now in its current form, “toxic to the development of digital business models.”

NGO's perspective
Future Society, an NGO that considers its representatives of civil society, has also been criticized for the new guidelines. NGOs are particularly concerned that US tech providers can weaken key points and soak them in water in closed sessions.
Nick Moës, executive director of Future Society, said: “This weakened code puts European citizens and businesses at a disadvantage, misses the opportunity to enhance security and accountability around the world, and can also undermine all other stakeholders whose commitment and efforts to the common interests have been covered by the impact of US big names.”
