Hyderabad: Nearly all seats in emerging technology and computer science engineering were filled with the first phase of the counselling of the Common Entrance Examinations for Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy (EAPCET). 77,561 of the 83,054 seats available under the Converger Qualta were filmed, according to the Telangana Council (TGCHE), which announced its first phase seating allocation on Friday. This leaves only 5,493 seats in the upcoming phase. Despite submitting preferences during consultation, 16,793 candidates were not assigned seats.“This year we introduced mock allocation, which benefited around 44,000 students as many people changed their options after seeing the results.” He said over the past few years, many students have been neglecting their choices, which has led them to accept less favourable college seats. “This year they had the opportunity to revise their choices, and 36,544 students have secured a much better university seat than they were initially assigned in the mock round, thanks to their revised preferences,” he added.Several computer science and IT related courses are all filled, including AI, computer engineering, computer science and business systems, CSE (IoT and cybersecurity including blockchain technology), computer science and engineering (networks), computer science and engineering (IoT). Of the total 58,742 seats available in these brunch, 57,042 were filled in during the first phase.The Electronics and Electrical Engineering courses met 87.23% of 16,112 seats. It is fully filled with courses in Electronics Communication and Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics and Telematics, Electronics (VLSI Design and Technology), Electronics and Computer Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, and more.In the civil, mechanical and related branches, 79.32% of the 7,100 seats were allocated. Other courses with a 100% seating occupancy include chemical engineering, geoinformatics and agricultural engineering.
