An original scene from the film shows Ranveer’s character Hamza returning to Punjab and standing close to his family. But he doesn’t go to them. Instead, he watches his mother and sister from afar and silently walks away. Even across the border, his wife Yalina (Sara Arjun) remains in Pakistan with their son. Jaskirat, or Hamza, who chooses his calling over home and family, is left with nothing but loneliness.
The new AI version reimagines Hamza reuniting with Yarina and embracing her in a moment of emotional closure that many viewers felt was missing.
