The video showing President Donald Trump, who appears to have immediately announced production of Tesla vehicles in the United States, is widely shared among social media platforms. The clip gained traction in a highly publicized presence between Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. However, a detailed investigation by fact-checking sites has effectively discovered that viral videos created using AI tools and parody content are completely artificial.
The misleading video appears to be riding the back of the ongoing tension between Trump and Musk. This started after Musk criticized Trump's latest tax and spending bill that cuts subsidies for electric vehicles and inflated citizen debt. Trump retaliated for the threat of cutting federal contracts related to the Musk venture. What began as a policy conflict has snowballed into a full-blown ideological rift as Musk is warning of “serious consequences” if he is working with medium-term Democrats and hints that Musk will launch a new political movement.
President Donald Trump has banned production of Tesla in the United States. This happened when drama-led leaders were chosen through propaganda. This is poor governance.

AI detection tools reveal the truth
In fact, we performed a multi-layer verification process to assess the reliability of the video. Online keyword searches did not yield credible news reports or official statements in support of Trump's allegations that he banned Tesla production. Instead, the report referenced Trump's decision to say goodbye to his personal Tesla Model S, which he previously purchased in favor of Musk.
With further scrutiny, it was actually listed on the account @DangerousAirturns, known for uploading AI-generated parody videos in an archived Instagram post dated June 8, 2025. The same content was also found on the creator's YouTube and Facebook pages. All of these are clearly labelled as hosting AI lip sync material.
I actually used Hive AI detection to validate the audio. This gave a 99.8% chance that narration would generate AI. Another tool, Deepfake-O-Meter, independently confirmed that clips were created using AI technology.
The original video did not mention the ban.
The visuals used in fake videos date back to legitimate events. A farewell video uploaded by ABC 10 News on May 31, 2025, entitled Trump's Honor Elon Musk on the final day at the White House. According to the video description, Trump praised Musk's role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and believed in him billions in federal savings during his controversial tenure.

In fact, we reviewed both the video and the transcript in detail. Trump made no mention of banning Tesla production, not to mention issuing an immediate directive.
Conclusion: Viral ban videos are fake
As we actually conclude, the viral video showing President Donald Trump banning Tesla's production of vehicles is completely wrong. This footage was manipulated using AI tools and uploaded by a parody account known for such content. There is no official record or reliable news confirming such a ban.
This case highlights the rising challenge of AI-generated misinformation, especially when political tensions are high. Always double-check before you believe what you can or hear online.
