With the help of generator AI, the process of creating ads is getting very fast.

Tuesday, Amazon ads announcement Its new video generation platform was first launched in beta in September – and is now available to all US customers in general. The tool is also given several technical upgrades. Most notably, the videos generated by its AI are smoother and more realistic, generating six different video series as well, providing a set of creative options to choose from for advertisers.

For example, a brand selling coffee mugs could upload images of the product to the system and generate a series of short videos that display the product in various contexts. You read a book or take a sip from a mug while sitting on a cup sitting at the camera.

“For the past nine months, we've been pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and as a result, it's an expanded version of a video generator that creates more refined, high-motion video ads that blend seamlessly into the action or scene.”

The idea is to realize still images, give viewers a dynamic perspective, and save the brand the time and money needed to complete the long advertising shooting and production process. With that in mind, Amazon Ads sells video generation tools primarily to small and medium-sized businesses. Its budget and production timeline is more constrained than its deeper pocket competitors.

The video is generated within 5 minutes and comes with text animation, background music and brand logo placement options.

As is evident in the short demo video of the new video generation tool (see link above), AI-generated videos have been progressing rapidly recently.

However, there are still some issues. If you look closely at the clock depicted in the demo video, you will notice that the numbers on their faces are inappropriately placed or are unreadable. However, what most viewers are likely to notice is not something that you're likely to notice while quickly scrolling through product options on your phone or laptop. Most brands probably think that such flaws are worth it in light of the savings the tool offers.

Amazon is not the only major tech brand that equips advertisers with new generative AI tools. For example, Adobe is promoting its suite of Firefly models, largely as a new, powerful creative tool for its marketing teams. And last week it was reported that Meta aims to automate the entire advertising production process.

Leading tech developers like Amazon and Meta are promoting generative AI tools as extensions rather than as alternatives to human creativity. And despite widely aired speculation in recent years about the inevitable unemployment that appears to be caused by the spread of AI, such a massive displacement does not seem to have happened anyway.

Still, the release of ILK's video generators and tools could ease the fear of moving jobs among advertising and other creative industry experts, even if Silicon Valley companies promise that it's not intended.
