The tide dal wave of artificial intelligence integration continues this week as Microsoft deploys new Bing video creators in the Bing Mobile app.
Believe it or not, it's been two years since Microsoft has made Bing Image Creator possible and users can access AI image generation directly from search engines. In April this year, Microsoft added more AI features with the introduction of Copilot Search in Bing. Currently, Bing users have the ability to create short videos with AI.
“Whether you're looking for the perfect video to run your imagination, bring the story back to life or tell what you're thinking, Bing Video Creator puts the power of video creation at your fingertips,” the Bing team says. “We look forward to being able to turn our words into wonders through AI-generated videos.”
How to Use Bing Video Creator
According to Microsoft, Bing Video Creator will soon search for desktop and Copilot searches, but is currently only available on the Bing Mobile app on iOS and Android.
If you want to start a new tool, open the Bing app on your phone or tablet and tap the menu button in the lower right corner. You will see a new button entitled “Video Creator” in the list of apps. If you want to start the process without digging into the menu, you can also type “Create a video” in the search bar.
Whichever option you choose, you can enter the required video description and press Create. The Bing team explains that the more context and details they provide, the better the video generated by AI. The time to generate the video will vary depending on the prompt, but you will receive a notification when you are ready.
Videos generated by Bing Video Creator are 5 seconds long and can be created in 9:16 format (16:9 format will be released soon). You can queue up to three video creations at once, and once the video is generated, you can download and share it. Also, videos have only been stored for 90 days, so make sure you decide what to do with them before that.
Bing Video Creator is free to use at standard generation speeds, but you can also access 10 Fast Creations at launch. Users can then redeem 100 Microsoft Rewards points for every upcoming high-speed video creation.
