Chuck Norris’ family slams AI video that claims to know cause of star’s death

The family of the late great martial artist and actor Chuck Norris claims to know the cause of the star’s death and is condemning a brutal AI-generated video circulating online.

The beloved star passed away last month, and his family confirmed his death and announced the news on social media.

In a statement shared on March 20, Norris’ family said, “It is with a heavy heart that we share with our family the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, we want you to know that he was peacefully surrounded by his family.”

But despite this clear communication that they wanted to keep the details private in order to grieve privately, it hasn’t stopped the public from generating fake AI videos that claim to know exactly how the star died.

After struggling with the situation over the past two weeks, the Norris family addressed the online video in a new statement.

They said: “We are aware that since Chuck passed away, numerous videos and posts made by Al have been circulating online containing false and misleading information about the circumstances of his death, his medical history, and who was present.

“These claims are completely false. They include fabricated reports of past medical issues and false narratives surrounding family relationships. We ask that you do not believe or share any information unless it comes directly from the Norris family or an authorized family representative.”

They concluded: “Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. The Norris Family.”

Norris died just a week after celebrating his 86th birthday at his $7 million home on the North Shore of Kauai, Hawaii. In typical style, he celebrated by sharing a video of himself sparring with a boxing trainer.

In a nod to his meme-level status, the star wrote in the caption, “I’m not getting old. I’m leveling up. I’m 86 today! Nothing makes me feel younger like a playful act on a sunny day.”

Norris added, “I’m grateful to be able to stay healthy and continue doing what I love this year. Thank you for being the best fans in the world. Your support over the years has meant more to me than I could ever have imagined.”

“God bless you, Chuck Norris.”

The actor’s legendary status as an action hero, with black belts in karate, taekwondo, tan sudo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and judo, propelled his celebrity into the stratosphere of the internet age, and jokes referencing his toughness became some of the earliest popular memes.

But despite his ironic legend, to those who knew him best, he was more than just a martial artist, actor, and symbol of strength, he was, in the words of his family, “a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a wonderful brother, and the heart of our family.”

In a eulogy for Norris, his family emotionally said: “He lived his life with faith, purpose, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. Through his work, discipline, and kindness, he inspired millions of people around the world and left a lasting impact on many lives.

“While our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the life he lived and the unforgettable moments we were lucky enough to share with him. The love and support he received from his fans around the world meant so much to him, and our family is truly grateful for that. You were more than just fans to him, you were friends.”

“Thank you for loving him with us.”
