ChatGPT uses generative AI technology that learns from past data to create new text, images, or computer code. These applications are intended to work together to enable SenseTime’s clients to rapidly create videos of presenters, environments, and products, all of which are AI-generated in real time.
“We can generate a digital scene for the live streaming room. All product creation and interactive content is generated by AI, and the live streaming room runs non-stop 24 hours a day,” said Xu. “In fact, you may not even know if it’s a real person broadcasting at night.”
Shares of SenseTime, best known for computer vision technology, soared last week after the company began sending out invitations to events. The Hong Kong market where the company trades was closed on Monday for a public holiday.

Chinese tech companies are rushing to launch an answer to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, with Alibaba Group (9988.HK) expected to launch its Tongyi Qianwen AI chatbot on Tuesday.
