August 27, 2025 (MLN): China has deployed comprehensive guidelines to advance its AI Plus initiative, targeting the widespread adoption of AI technology in six key areas by 2027.
These areas include science and technology, industry, consumption, public welfare, governance and international cooperation.
As reported by China Central Television (CCTV), the plan envisages that within the next two years, more than 70% of the next generation of intelligent devices will be used, demonstrating a significant expansion in the core Smart Economy sector.
The directive also emphasizes strengthening AI's contribution to public governance and further strengthening the open, joint framework for AI development.
Looking forward to 2030, the document sets the goal of making AI a central driver of China's high quality growth. By then, the penetration rate of smart devices and related applications is expected to exceed 90%.
