NANING, September 18 (Xinhua) – Construction of the China-ASEAN National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Application Cooperation Centre for China-ASEAN Countries, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Application Cooperation Centre, September 18 (Xinhua) – As announced in the South China capital AI, the capital of South China, officially began on Thursday.
The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said the centre will focus on building AI infrastructure, providing open source platforms, developing AI talent, supporting actionable applications and ensuring equitable access to AI technology.
The NDRC and the Guangdong government co-located the “AI Plus” initiative to promote cooperation between China and ASEAN and establish a ministerial level AI cooperation mechanism between China and ASEAN.
The conference sought to create a high-level dialogue platform between China and the ASEAN countries, strengthen practical cooperation in AI development and governance, and ensure shared benefits from AI advancements. ■
