your role
Advanced Data Analytics (ADA) Principal Investigators within our Quantitative Pharmacology (QP) organization provide strategic, scientific and We have a cross-departmental role. Utilizing real-world data to support personalized medicine. This position will participate in QP activities to strengthen MIDD competencies by developing and implementing ADA strategies/plans that are fully integrated into the overall preclinical and clinical plan across our projects and therapeutic areas .
This position will be responsible for project-related machine learning (ML) / deep learning (DL) activities in QP. This is done independently, under supervision and/or externally in collaboration with his CRO and academic institutions. Projects include the analysis and integration of translational, biomarker, and clinical data into ML/DL-enabled disease progression models, patient selection, exposure prediction, and the use of ML/DL to improve study design. but not limited to: Using ML/DL-enabled drug-disease modeling to support project deliverables will significantly contribute to decision-making and critical outcomes based on quantitative principles, and contribute to global biostatistics, bioinformatics, and clinical research. Work closely with expert leaders in pharmacology, medicine, research, and other quantitative disciplines. Discipline. Share the latest scientific developments and expertise in ML/DL with your colleagues, develop your own innovative approaches, mentor your peers, or overlook externalized academic research Participating in QP ADA studies is also important. You will contribute to external presentations and publications in the broader scientific/professional community of clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics and represent his QP in dealings with internal and external stakeholders.
Who are you
- Ideally, 5+ years postdoctoral experience with a PhD (PhD, PharmD or MD) related to the (bio)pharmaceutical industry and/or related fields in computer science, mathematics or engineering. Industry experience in healthcare, biotechnology and biopharmaceutical R&D is an asset.
- Strong theoretical knowledge and years of practical experience in state-of-the-art ML (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning) and DL methods (RNN, CNN, ensemble methods, transformers). Has a strong background in mathematics and statistics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, familiarity with ML/DL frameworks (Tensorflow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras) and visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Bokeh). Hands-on experience in data cleaning, preprocessing, and exploration tasks prior to data design.
- Ability to quickly learn disease endpoints, progression, and treatments. Experience in PK/PD mathematical modeling, especially pharmacological analysis, is an asset.
- A proven ability to use effective communication, take personal responsibility for delivering results, and collaborate productively within multidisciplinary teams. Strong interpersonal skills and positivity to build a network of productive relationships in an international matrix environment.
