LG makes some of the best TVs on the market. I've been using an LG C2 OLED for several years now, and I'm still amazed at the picture quality every time I sit down to watch a movie or TV show. The company announced the W6 Wallpaper TV at CES 2026. With its slim design, wireless connection box, and option to display your artwork digitally, LG's Wallpaper TV lets you install your TV in your living room while maintaining a clean setup that won't be the center of attention by default. Plus, the panel's enhancements make it more suitable for living rooms, while still theoretically maintaining excellent video quality.
As the name suggests, the W6 Wallpaper TV is ultra-thin at just 0.35 inches (9mm). It's designed to fit flush against the wall, so it won't stick out too much when you mount the TV on the wall. LG's W6 Wallpaper TV has a wireless connection box for audio/video inputs, including an HDMI port, and can be placed up to 30 feet away. So you can store your streaming devices, game consoles, 4K Blu-ray players, and other home theater devices in your media cabinet for a clutter-free living room.
Despite the LG W6 Wallpaper TV's wireless connectivity box, the company says it offers visually lossless 4K audio and video. For gamers, W6 Wallpaper can run games at up to 4K resolution with an ultra-fast 165Hz refresh rate and ultra-low 0.1ms pixel response time. If you have a PC capable of running high resolution, high frame rate games, the W6 should be up to the task. Similarly, it should pair well with consoles like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
LG claims the W6 is “non-reflective” and has the lowest reflectivity of any 2026 panel. If you're using your TV in your living room or somewhere with lots of ambient light, the W6 may be an improvement over the previous LG OLED. The W6 is supposedly 3.9 times brighter than the average OLED on the market thanks to LG's Brightness Booster Ultra and Hyper Radiant Color Technology.
LG's Gallery Plus service lets you display artwork on your TV, so you can use the app to make your wall-mounted TV look like a painting or photo. Gallery Plus is a paid service, but a free lite version is also available. The W6 Wallpaper TV is available in 77-inch and 83-inch versions.
On paper, the LG W6 Wallpaper TV seems to strike the right balance to satisfy home theater enthusiasts who want a discreet installation in their living room or family room. Notably, LG also announced the Gallery TV, which is meant to compete with other art TVs such as Samsung's Frame TV. However, since it's Mini-LED rather than OLED, you might not get the best picture quality, even if it's solid-state.
