Petaling Jaya: Bukit Aman has received reports from four politicians about his horrifying email attempt using artificial intelligence (AI)-generated LEWD videos.
Bukit Aman, chief of Criminal Investigation, Kom Datuk M. Kumar said the report was submitted by Senator Subang Wong Chen, Senator Datuk Nelson W. Angang, and Krim State Assembly Wong Chia Zen and Sungai Pettani.
All cases had the same trick, including the threat of spreading what is called skate video if a $100,000 cryptocurrency ransom was not paid.
“All reports are investigated based on Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act of 1998 and Section 385 of the Criminal Code (fearing a person to be injured).
“The police are also working with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to track the email owners and obtain relevant information for further investigation,” he said in a statement on Sunday (September 14).
Comm Kumar added that parties involved in the production, spreading or using such material will face solid and comprehensive actions.
“The police will not compromise with parties seeking to disrupt national security, public order or harmony,” he said.
