Today, we showcase the ability to directly build, host and share interactive AI-powered apps with the Claude app. Nowadays, developers can iterate faster on AI apps without worrying about the complexity and cost of scaling for the growing audience.
Build and host Claude-driven apps
Here's what we've built: Claude can now create artifacts that interact with Claude through APIs. Turn these artifacts into AI-powered apps.
When someone uses your Claude-driven app:
- They will authenticate with an existing Claude account
- Those API usage counts Their Subscription, not yours
- You pay nothing for their use
- There is no need to manage API keys
Claude writes the actual code that tweaks complex AI features. You can see it, change it and share it freely.
Community Ideas
Early users are already building with interactive artifacts.
- AI-powered games NPCs that remember conversations and adapt to player choices
- Learning Tools Adapt to individual skill levels and provide personalized tutoring
- Data Analysis App Where users upload CSVs and ask follow-up questions in natural language
- Writing Assistant It helps everything from scripts to technical documentation
- Agent Workflow Adjusts multiple Claude wants complex tasks
Get started
Start building with the Claude app by enabling this new interactive feature. Just a quick explanation of what you want to create, and Claude will write your code.
Working together, Claude can debug and improve his own code based on feedback. Once your app is ready, you can share it immediately via the link. No deployment process is required. Claude handles technical details such as rapid engineering, error handling, orchestration logic, allowing him to focus completely on realizing his ideas.
What you can do:
- Use the Claude API within artifacts
- Process files and create a rich UI in React
- See Artifact and customize it
Current Limitations:
- No external API calls (still)
- There is no permanent storage
- Limited to text-based completion APIs
This feature is available in beta for free, PRO, and MAX Plan users.
