Mr. Panaji: From 2023-2024, artificial intelligence and physical education will be part of the new subjects offered as the seventh elective in Class IX. The student chooses one of nineteen subjects for her seventh subject. To pass the class, you must complete one of six subjects.
A seventh subject was available in Gore under the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) scheme. Later, art and astronomy were also offered as his seventh subject at the ambitious school. In addition to this, vocational preparation courses have been offered in some schools for several years. All three of her schemes are now integrated into her NSQF scheme, allowing students to choose from her 19 subjects.
“14 subjects are NSQF subjects, and the rest are AI, Physical Education, Fine Arts, Astronomy, Music, Domestic and Electrical Wiring, Cooking, Gardening, Electrical and Electronic. By the second semester of 2020, we will have to choose a seventh subject, and the new subject will be taught by existing teachers in the school itself who have an interest in the subject,” said Bhaguiras Shetty, Commissioner of the Goa Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Commission. said the chief.
He said AI will be taught by computer teachers, adding that the board will train teachers based on the AI ​​syllabus.
“This course is taught like a full-fledged course with five classes per week and includes practical elements. ,” said Shetye.
As part of AI, students will study topics such as AI fundamentals, artificial intelligence ethics, Python programming, neural networks, emerging careers in AI, and using AI for a better world.
AI courses are offered at all schools that do not offer NSQF courses.
A Gore Commission circular states that Class IX AI textbooks will be available in bookstores.
A board circular states that students in Class XI will take the same AI/ICT classes in 2023-2024. In 2024-2025, the Class X AI Curriculum will be implemented in Circular States for Class XI.
