Boxer-8653AI-Plus:
AAEON, a leading edge AI platform provider, announced the release of BOXER-8653AI-PLUS, an embedded AI system powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and supporting Super Mode.
Designed to provide multi-camera AI inference within a single-box architecture, a distinguishing feature of the BOXER-8653AI-PLUS is the presence of four independent PoE LAN ports. AAEON appears to be targeted at applications that rely on multiple peripheral cameras, with per-port power control that increases the flexibility of independent remote configurations.
The system’s PoE LAN ports are joined by four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and an additional RJ-45 port for Gigabit Ethernet. For interfacing with physical systems such as modern IoT devices or traditional industrial infrastructure, the BOXER-8653AI-PLUS includes a DB-9 port for RS-232 and CANBus, and a DB-15 port for RS-232/422/485 and 8-bit DIO.
Designed to run application-critical data at the edge, BOXER-8653AI-PLUS offers both onboard TPM 2.0 and remote management capabilities, the latter via an out-of-band management box header. Additionally, AAEON states that its AI model protection framework, MAZU, will be available on the device at no additional customization cost.
For expansion, BOXER-8653AI-PLUS hosts an M.2 3042/3052 B key slot and an M.2 2230 E key slot, supporting the installation of LTE/5G and Wi-Fi/BT modules, respectively. Meanwhile, the system comes pre-installed with a 128GB NVMe SSD.
Giving confidence to its positioning in the remote deployment market, BOXER-8653AI-PLUS has a wide power input range of 12V to 24V and temperature tolerance of -25°C to 65°C, making it ideal for harsh environments. Additionally, it has enhanced vibration and impact resistance, and can be easily mounted on walls, making it easy to install.
