The Bharatiya Janata Party has released another AI-generated video targeting Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, this time mocking his failure to secure the chief minister’s post. The video, shared by the Karnataka unit of the BJP, shows Mr Shivakumar trying to buy the CM’s chair on Amazon, only to find the item marked as ‘out of stock’.
The satirical clip is part of a pattern in which the BJP has been rolling out AI-driven political videos targeting state assemblies in recent weeks.
The latest video is aired on the years-long infighting within the Congress, where Mr. Shivakumar was seen as a strong candidate for the top post before the party selected Mr. Siddaramaiah as the chief minister.
Earlier, the Bharatiya Janata Party had posted another AI-generated video in which Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was seen getting irritated after reading comments from viewers during a mock Facebook Live session.
In the AI-generated clip, the prime minister is seen telling viewers: “I’ve finished two and a half years as prime minister. I don’t know how long I’ll be here as prime minister, but I want to talk to you all, so I’m live streaming on Facebook.”
