New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fired all its guns at the Congress party, fuming over a “disturbing” artificial intelligence (AI) video about Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared by the grand old party’s spokesperson Ragini Nayak.
Several Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and spokesmen have taken to Congress for mocking Prime Minister Modi’s humble origins through an AI-generated video.
They also drew “links with Mani Shankar Aiyar” to denounce the “habit” of the great old party of mocking the Prime Minister and the country’s achievements under his leadership.
On Tuesday night, an AI video shared by Ragini Nayak showed PM Modi walking with a kettle and glasses, making it look like a global event.
Bharatiya Janata Party MP Sambit Patra told reporters outside Parliament that such absurd and disgusting behavior reflects the Congress’ mindset and it only shows that “a new Mani Shankar Aiyar has been born in the party”.
He harshly criticized the party, saying, “Every time Mani Shankar comes to the Congress, ruin will come to the Congress.”
Recalling an incident during the 2014 Congress convention before the Assembly elections, Patra said, “Mani Shankar said, ‘Who is Mr. Modi? We are going to pitch a small tent outside the Congress convention and have Mr. Modi come and sell tea to Congress workers.’ This shows the Congress mindset. A new Mani Shankar has appeared in the Congress.”
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla accused the Congress party of mocking the Prime Minister’s humble background and mocking the nation and its achievements.
“The Naamdar Congress cannot stand Chief Minister Kamdar, who comes from an OBC community with a poor background. They have mocked his chaiwala background earlier. They abused him 150 times. They abused his mother in Bihar,” Poonawalla said, while adding that the people will not tolerate the party’s malicious antics.
Meanwhile, the Congress party has faced the wrath of the Bharatiya Janata Party for lampooning the prime minister and has so far chosen to remain silent on the escalating controversy.
