Worldwide, 378 million people rely on AI tools every day, but many face hidden crises. Harvard Business Review Research shows that the average knowledge worker uses 9-13 apps and switches windows more than 1,200 times a day. This causes decision fatigue and reduced creativity, resulting in time loss in superficial, repetitive tasks.
Conversation with tfnSowmay Jain, founder of Bhindi AI, explained: “Most AI tools are stuck in basic chat and prompts. People wasting time jumping between Gmail, Slack and concepts, they've been trapped in Bhindi and created intelligent interfaces that rely on AI Aigents.
Since its launch a few months ago, Bhindi has attracted over 5,000 active users, accounting for 80% from India and the US. The platform handled over 333,000 messages, 22,000 conversations and 52,000 agent executions.
As Bhindi's influence grows, $4 million in seed funds led by the CyberFund will accelerate product development and entry into global markets, establishing a $28 million valuation.
The Founder's Journey: Vision, Background, Mission
Sowmay Jain is a recognized innovator in the Web3 and AI fields. Since 2017 he has created groundbreaking products, including Instadapp, one of the earliest Defi platforms, developed along with his brother Samyak Jain.
“I've been building with AI for years and decentralizing my finances, but I realized that technology wasn't saving people time. It was fragmenting it,” explains Jain.
In April 2025, he launched Bhindi after finding market opportunities. The company is tackling the issue of tool and context overload and draws on years of experience. The mission allows users to delegate day-to-day tasks and allow them to focus on impactful tasks.
Bhindi's Bangalore-based team has grown from eight to 12 members, including three female engineers. “We're very intentional about diversity. As we scale, we hope that Bindi will become a place where people from all backgrounds can thrive,” Jain said.
Techniques to listen, learn and act
While much of the industry focuses on agent AI, Bhindi prioritizes practical implementation. Over 300 unique background agents work independently to efficiently handle tasks ranging from crypto management and development workflow reviews to research, fintech operations, scheduling and influencer campaigns.
Bhindi's core technology uses dynamic prompts and real-time agent switching to smartly match user prompts and intent with the right agents. This means that users don't have to worry about choosing the right agent themselves.
“Our new feature, Background Agents, shows a fundamental shift from reactive automation to aggressive orchestration. This delegates intentions. Bhindi learns your patterns of behavior, adapts to your preferences, and is an extension of cognition.
Unlike competitors, who require users to select tasks or bots, Bhindi's agents work quietly in the background, transforming disconnected digital routines into a seamless, unified experience.
Intention-driven ambition: the next three years
“For us, it's about killing the need for an app completely,” Jain argues. Bhindi aims to move from “text to action” to “intention to intention” to avoid operational confusion and allow users to think highly leveraged. As the company expands, its engineering and operations team in India will grow, keeping diversity and inclusion as a core priorities.
Bhindi takes a bold approach to the challenges of universal productivity, positioning it as an important interface connecting humans and AI, creating a path to burn-out digital futures.
“Bhindi can mimic human behavior by setting up a background agent (your shadow agent that works for you). This transition from “text-to-action” to “intention” redefines how humans interact with technology,” Jain concludes.
