Beasley Media Group has signed on to use an AI-based video platform to support its stations. With this tool, you can create video ads for your clients in minutes.

The natural language video creation platform is powered by Waymark, which calls the deal with Beasley “the first generative AI deal for a local radio station.”

“Waymark’s AI-powered video platform will enable local businesses to generate professionally narrated, high-quality commercials in less than five minutes,” said the technology provider in a statement. Beasley can use the tools to provide “immediate and affordable video creative” to its advertising partners, the company said.

Beasley has already used the service at stations in Detroit, Las Vegas, Charlotte, and several other markets, and plans to expand further. Beasley’s vice president of operations Kevin Rich said local advertisers are looking for more effective and cost-effective ways to stand out across multiple media platforms and attract customers.

CEO Alex Persky-Stern is the CEO of Waymark, which was founded in 2017. The company says the deal with Beasley is its first big step into radio, following national video deals with Spectrum Reach and Gray Television Stations.

“The rise of connected TV and free ad-supported streaming TV channels is opening up many new marketing opportunities for local advertisers.”
