Beamr is now powered by Oracle Cloud and available on the Oracle Cloud Marketplace

HERZLIYA, Israel, June 11, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Beamr Imaging Ltd. Basic MRa leader in video optimization technologies and solutions and a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced that its Beamr Cloud solution is Powered by Expertise and available in the Oracle Cloud Marketplace. Enabled by NVIDIA accelerated computing, Beamr Cloud delivers efficient, AI-enabled video processing, providing added value to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) customers.

Beamr Cloud provides customers with access to high-quality, fast, and scalable video optimization and transcoding with Beamr's patented and award-winning Content Adaptive Bitrate solution (CABR) enabled by NVIDIA Accelerated Computing. OCI combined with NVIDIA L40S GPUs delivers powerful AI computing with advanced graphics and media acceleration.

The L40S GPU features third-generation NVIDIA RTX-accelerated ray tracing technology with three encode and three decode engines. With the addition of AOMedia Video 1 (AV1) encoding, the L40S delivers 30% more efficient video encoding (compared to the same hardware and software encoding H.264 formats), delivering breakthrough performance and optimized total cost of ownership.

Customers will be able to convert their videos to the new AV1 video format. Video usage is growing exponentially, but most of today's videos are still based on 20 year old formats (AVC/H.264). Fast, automatic conversion to AV1 enables the modernization of large video libraries in markets such as AI, broadcast, streaming, and user generated content.

Oracle Cloud Marketplace is a one-stop shop for Oracle customers looking for trusted business applications and services that deliver unique solutions, including those that extend Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.

“In the AI era, video usage is growing rapidly and there is a growing need to analyze video data to extract insights, label data, and monetize it. Beamr leverages Oracle Cloud and NVIDIA GPUs to provide a dual-efficiency solution that delivers high-quality, high-speed video compression and analytics,” said Sharon Karmel, CEO of Beamr. “Beamr's participation in the Oracle PartnerNetwork and achievement of Powered by Oracle Cloud Expertise further expands our commitment to the Oracle community, making it easier for customers to reap the benefits of Beamr Cloud. We look forward to leveraging the power of Oracle Cloud to help achieve our business goals.”

“High-quality video optimization and coding requires accelerated computing to keep users efficient and productive,” said Bob Pette, vice president of Enterprise Platforms at NVIDIA. “Using NVIDIA accelerated computing, Beamr enables customers to process video significantly faster and meet the demands of AI enterprises for unparalleled video compression.”

Powered by Oracle Cloud Expertise recognizes OPN members who deliver solutions that run on Oracle Cloud. For partners who have achieved Powered by Oracle Cloud Expertise, this achievement provides customers with confidence that their applications are supported by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure SLAs, with full access and control of cloud infrastructure services, and consistent performance.
