Guardforce AI Co., Ltd. (GFAI), in collaboration with GFAI Robotic Innovation and Solution (Thailand) Co., Ltd., held an exclusive interview titled “GFAI LUNCH AND LEARN: NAVIGATING THE AI ERA” to unveil its AI solution software and three latest innovations: LinguaBot, Barism, and Wish Note. These innovations are designed to efficiently meet the needs of various businesses. GFAI also revealed that it saw a 50% growth in business in the first quarter compared to last year, highlighting the growing trend of robotics and AI usage in business in the global market.

Ray (Olivia) Wang, Chairman and CEO of Guard Force AI Inc. (NASDAQ: GFAI, GFAIW), a global integrated security, AI, and robot-as-a-service (RaaS) provider. GFAI began its security business in 1982 and launched its AI and robot solutions in 2020. With over 42 years of experience in the security industry, GFAI has a top-class customer base and strong sales channels. Therefore, GFAI has begun to expand its potential to become a total AI solution provider with a strong foundation in the Asia-Pacific region and even the United States at a global level.

“We are committed to providing our customers with best-in-class integrated solutions and helping them achieve greater operational efficiency. Embracing AI trends and robotics in our business is an important step. We run our business by integrating solutions in our portfolio. This vision has been the foundation of our business for more than 40 years. It enables us to grow steadily and continuously and create innovations to keep up with the rapidly advancing world of technology. We also aim to enhance business potential with our solutions, especially AI solutions that help in improving operational efficiency and at the same time help in improving the business image.”

Olivia continued that the company has built a foundation in AI and robotics business over the years, continuously providing solutions to meet customer needs and developing solutions for restaurants, hotels, hospitals, property management, shopping malls, government agencies, weddings, events and exhibitions. GFAI will integrate cloud platforms to expand the scope of AI development, combined with the company's solid foundation, to create collaborative solutions across the company group. In addition, GFAI aims to develop various AI solutions suitable for customer businesses, with a special focus on the retail and tourism industries.

“While continuing our security logistics business, we have been laying the foundations for our AI and robotics business. Of particular note is the introduction of RaaS (Robots-as-a-Service), a service robot. By incorporating robots into our operations, we can help alleviate labor shortages and improve operational efficiency. This helps reduce our customers' burden of labor and operational costs. In addition, our robots also contribute to improving the modern image of our business.”

“We offer a wide range of solutions in the Thai market. For example, Hospitality Solutions: The reception robot is designed to reduce or replace the burden on reception staff, including queue reception, reservation service management functions and wayfinding. The LED screen can also display advertisements for products, services and promotions. Food serving/delivery robot: Suitable for restaurants, hospitals or department stores that want to reduce the burden on employees in serving food or delivering products. The robot is carefully designed to walk easily in small spaces and can walk simultaneously with other robots. And finally, the cleaning robot: It is a spray robot with the ability to spray disinfectant to maintain hygiene in large areas. With the various solutions mentioned above, we have built a strong customer base in the restaurant, hospital, hotel, department store and retail markets.”

Olivia also announced new products and said that this year the company is focusing on two elements. One is to expand and diversify its customer base in the tourism and retail industries, and the other is to develop solutions to help existing customers improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. GFAI will integrate its cloud platform foundation and AI capabilities to improve overall services. This is our strategic focus. We believe that the new solutions we are announcing today will lead the future, and that the development of AI and robotics will be a new wave of business development.

“In our recently released solution, we partnered with iApp to develop an AI software solution powered by Chat GPT technology called LinguaBot to enhance the robot's conversational ability and ability to interact with customers. This solution allows us to turn receptionist robots into salespeople. Our target groups are various business groups, including restaurants, hospitals, hotels, zoos and government agencies. Secondly, we bring to the market our Barism software, specially designed to promote activity between pubs and bars and customers, facilitating business development and the generation of additional income. Finally, our Wish Note software allows you to store and display messages in a digital format, suitable for writing down wishes at weddings and other celebrations. Wish Note also helps to create new experiences in tourism. Our target groups include wedding planners, event organizers and various tourist destinations.”

“We expect our new products to receive a positive response from the tourism and retail sectors. For LinguaBot, we are currently conducting ongoing trials with a group of customers and have received good feedback. For Barism, a number of pubs and bars in Thailand have started trials and we have received clear positive feedback that Barism has helped them attract customers.”

“These three solutions will provide additional revenue for the business. As for Wish Note, we are currently piloting it with a group of event organizers and the response has been good. We also plan to release new features soon. We believe the new products will help increase the overall market value of our company next year. Customer satisfaction is our top priority. We would like to gradually expand and customize our solutions rather than mass-produce them. We are still fully analyzing these three solutions. However, given our current robotics and AI customer base, we expect this business line in Thailand to grow significantly next year.”

On this occasion, Olivia also revealed her vision for the next five years: “Our customers come first. With a strong customer base in retail and travel, we are focusing on developing further solutions in AI and robotics to better serve our customers. Currently, we are strengthening our research and development team, improving our intelligent cloud platform and integrating the use of various AI solutions. These efforts will make us a comprehensive AI solutions provider. Looking ahead to the next five years, we expect the AI sector to grow exponentially. It is our customers who will benefit the most from the solutions we provide.”

Olivia also pointed out that the trend of using robots and AI solutions in business is still growing strongly in the global market, especially since the launch of Generative AI in 2023, and is considered to be a key accelerator for any business. It will also help improve and upgrade solutions for customers. Guard Force AI has taken its first step by partnering with iApp to launch LinguaBot in Thailand. In addition, GFAI will continue to research, investigate and develop the use of AI to provide better solutions to customers.

Kelvin Chew, general manager of GFAI Robotic Innovation and Solution (Thailand) Co., Ltd., spoke about the trend of service robots and AI usage this year: “AI solutions and service robots in Thailand are a continuing growing trend. Our sales in the first quarter of this year increased by more than 50% compared to the first quarter of last year. Therefore, with continued momentum, we expect to see significant revenue growth by the end of 2024.”

“The response to our new AI software products powered by Chat GPT technology, such as LinguaBot, has been positive, with pilots running projects with government agencies and zoos, as well as in the travel and retail industries. This will enhance efficiencies that reduce the burden on employees to provide general information to customers.”

“With tourism recovering, the hospitality industry has seen a huge growth, with Barism being used in pubs and bars in Bangkok and across Thailand. We have received good feedback that Barism has helped businesses generate additional income and significantly reduced the extra workload for employees. Our Wish Note has been gaining traction and is popular among event and wedding planners. We have received good feedback from customers that our Wish Note helps them create a fun atmosphere and new experiences at their events,” Kelvin concluded.
